Toyota Motor Corporation will abolish paper catalogs from January 2025

Until now, Toyota Motor Corporation has provided paper product catalogs, but in order to further advance its efforts towards SDGs and carbon neutrality, it will cease producing and printing paper catalogs for Toyota brand vehicles from January 2025. Paper product catalogs use approximately 7,000 tons of paper resources annually, and not only do they use a lot of forest resources, but there are also issues such as the manufacturing process, transportation, storage, and disposal. We have been considering the following. This reduction in paper resource use will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 11,000 tons per year (according to Toyota Conic Alpha Co., Ltd.).

Toyota dealers across the country will gradually introduce the “Smart Catalog” using digital terminals. The Smart Catalog uses high-definition tablets to provide content unique to digital technology, such as easy-to-understand introductions to vehicle functions using videos and CG, and the ability to compare multiple vehicle models side by side.

Toyota’s product website continues to offer a PDF version of the web catalog.
