About Toyota North America “Land Cruiser (Prado)”
The “Land Cruiser Prado” is sold under the car name “Land Cruiser” without the “Prado” subname in the United States and many European countries. Land Cruiser fans in the US have not been able to purchase the LC300 Land Cruiser since 2021 when the previous generation SUV was discontinued, and drivers in other countries have been able to purchase the new generation LC300 Land Cruiser, but information that Toyota US has chosen was widespread.
On Thursday, June 8, 2023 (local time), Lexus GX, the sister car of the Land Cruiser Prado , announced the new GX, which has undergone a full model change for the first time in almost 14 years . It’s a cool, boxy SUV with an outdoor style that would go well with the Land Cruiser badge. Furthermore, the traditional ladder frame chassis has been further improved through the newly developed “GA-F platform” and LEXUS’ first E-KDSS (Electronic-Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System), which improves road tracking. In terms of on-road driving performance, high rigidity in each part and linear steering response brought about by the adoption of EPS provide a ride feel typical of LEXUS, even though it is a full-fledged off-roader.
