Toyota of the United States has fully remodeled the new 4Runner (Japanese name: Hilux Surf) and made its world debut on April 9, 2024. Release in the United States is scheduled for fall 2024 .

Downhill Assist Control further assists in downhill navigation by adjusting vehicle speed.

The 2.4L 4-cylinder hybrid ( i-Force Max ) produces 326 hp (243 kW) and 465 lb-ft (629 Nm) of torque and can tow up to 6,000 lbs . Both the base i-Force and i-Force Max are mated to his eight-speed automatic. As before, rear-wheel drive, part-time 4WD, and full-time 4WD are available. Unfortunately, the manual gearbox option available on the Tacoma is not available on the 4Runner.
