Will the “Hilux Surf” be revived as a Japanese model? !

Up until now, Toyota has been reviving the “Land Cruiser 70” and “Hilux” as Japanese models, which were only sold overseas. This time, the “4Runner” is actually sold as the “Hilux Surf” in Japan. The current fifth generation model was completely remodeled in 2009, and sales of the Japanese model ended and it became an overseas exclusive model. With this 6th generation, we may be in an era where it would be no surprise to consider the revival of the Hilux Surf like other models.

The Japan Patent Office has issued No. 1868003 “Hilux Surf” with an expiration date of June 27, 2026, which was updated on May 10, 2016, and it appears that they are considering releasing it in Japan.
