About the new EQUOIA

Based on the new Tundra, the bold exterior styling is packed with improvements and enhancements, including a new high-strength boxed steel ladder frame, an aluminum-reinforced composite bed and a completely redesigned multi-link rear suspension. As a result of development efforts, the rugged new Sequoia now has a maximum weight capacity of 9,000 pounds, an increase of approximately 22% over the current model.

Based on an all-new platform built around “TNGA ,” Toyota opted for a fully boxed steel ladder frame shared with the Land Cruiser. The rear frame members have been made wider to improve stability and traction, and high-tensile steel is used throughout the chassis to increase rigidity. The car also features the “Toyota Safety Sense2.5” suite of driver assistance systems.

You’ll sit behind an all-new steering wheel, with analog gauges and either a 4.1-inch multi-information display or a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and Toyota ‘s all-new audio multimedia infotainment system, which features either an 8-inch or 14-inch display and five times the processing power of the previous infotainment system.

The Virtual Intelligent Assistant uses simple wake-up phrases such as “Hey/Hi/Hello/OK Toyota” to provide an even more advanced, personalized and easy-to-use virtual companion than ever before.
