Nissan in the United States has fully remodeled its new crossover SUV “Kix” and released the 2025 model on March 22, 2024 local time (March 23, 2024, Japan time). It is scheduled to be exhibited at the New York Auto Show 2024, which will be held from March 27th to April 7th, 2024. Sales are expected to begin in late summer in both the U.S. and Canada, with pricing to be announced closer to launch. Prices start from $20,790 (approximately 3.15 million yen).

The new 2025 Kicks model has a squarer and more robust appearance compared to its predecessor. The front design, similar to that of the Chinese-spec Nissan Pathfinder , shows horizontal LEDs seamlessly integrated within a large black-finished area surrounding the grille. The sides have fewer carvings than before, but now have a sportier design that is visually linked to the rear glass. At the rear, uniquely shaped LED taillights blend seamlessly with the black trim.

The body size is 4,366mm, overall width 1,801mm, and overall height 1,626-1,631mm. Depending on the drive system, there is a slight difference in wheelbase: 2,657mm for FWD models and 2,664mm for AWD versions. It is 71mm longer, 41mm wider and up to 20mm taller than the previous generation.

The interior features a simple layout with a digital cockpit and flat-bottom steering wheel. It is offered in three grades: “S”, “SV” and “SR”. The entry-level model has dual 7-inch displays. Depending on the trim, you’ll get up to four USB-C ports, a wireless charging pad, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Two premium packages are available that include features such as a panoramic sunroof and a 10-speaker Bose audio system, including speakers integrated into the front headrests. Shoulder room is increased by 38-43 mm, rear legroom is increased by 23 mm, and the trunk is more practical with a flexible luggage board and a hidden storage compartment underneath. It is larger than its predecessor, offering more space for passengers and cargo.

Powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder gasoline engine with maximum output of 139hp (104kW/141ps) and 140lb-ft (190Nm), it is paired with Nissan’s latest Xtronic automatic transmission (CVT) and is available with all-wheel drive (AWD) as an option for the first time in the lineup. ), many of the new features highlighted by the introduction have been adopted.
