There is “Toyota Safety Sense C”, its higher version “Toyota Safety Sense P”, and from 2018 to 2024 there is “2nd generation Toyota Safety Sense”. For those who don’t know about the detailed functions that come with a preventive safety package, some people might think that just because it comes with a preventive safety package, it’s okay. You may regret your purchase. So I’ve summarized the differences by car type.

2nd generation Toyota Safety Sense

The second generation “Toyota Safety Sense” to be introduced in 2018 will retain the same “monocular camera + millimeter wave radar” configuration used in the current “Toyota Safety Sense P”, but will improve accident prevention through the following advancements. The aim is to further reduce traffic accident casualties and reduce the burden on drivers. Until now, there were no measures against “pedestrians” and “bicyclists” when driving at night, but this is now possible with the second generation of “Toyota Safety Sense.’

Furthermore, from around 2023, many versions of Toyota Safety Sense have been made with some improvements, making almost the latest features available for all car models.

This is a list of vehicle models equipped with “Toyota Safety Sense” as of March 2024.
