Driving position has been improved by lowering the driving position by 25mm and adjusting the steering position accordingly. Forward visibility has been expanded by moving the mounting position of the interior mirror to the top of the windshield and lowering the top of the center cluster by 50mm. The shift lever has been raised 75mm compared to the current CVT-equipped model, the GR Yaris RS, and is placed in the same position as the shift lever on the GR Yaris MT model, improving operability. With a view to vehicle control applications in rallies and gymkhanas, hand-pull parking brakes are also adopted for vehicles equipped with GR-DAT. The direction of gear change operation using the shift lever in M ​​mode has been reversed from the previous direction, taking advantage of learnings from motorsports. Depending on the vehicle’s behavior, the pull operation shifts up (acceleration) and the push operation shifts down (deceleration), achieving operability similar to a sequential transmission in a racing car.
